and legal preparation of Hazardous materials for shipping. Hazardous Materials ,as defined by CFR-49 (171.8), "is a
substance or material, which has been determined by the
secretary of transportation to be capable of posing an
unreasonable risk to health, safety, and property when
transported in commerce, and which has been so designated.
The term also includes hazardous substances, hazardous
wastes, marine pollutants, and elevated temperature
materials as so defined. |

All Hazardous Materials must be properly
classified, packaged, marked and labeled. Items such as
package strength, compatibility, inner packaging (if applicable) and
proper absorbent/cushioning materials must be considered when
packing. All Governmental, and carrier variations must also be
considered.
